My upcoming debut novel begins in Kettlewell, England. Stephanie Hale is a English Lit teacher and a recent widow. She takes a dream trip to England and Scotland alone, wanting to travel on her own terms.

Her first two weeks in London, Bath, and York were awesome—but are not in the novel. Maybe I’ll include those chapters later on the website so you’ll see her first experiences in England.

As I said, the novel begins in Kettlewell. She’s tired of city sight-seeing, and wants to hike in the Yorkshire Dales. This is where she stays: the Cottage Tea Room. Whatever you do, stop here and treat yourself to a scone and a pot of tea.
